Dear Tutors, Parents, and Oui Tutor Community,
As we begin this new year, I want to take a moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you. What our team has accomplished together over the past few months has been nothing short of extraordinary.
To our incredible tutors who show up week after week with patience and genuine care, you have turned complex and challenging concepts into understandable ideas and have built confidence in students who once doubted themselves. The messages we receive from parents, administrators, and our “scholars” about renewed motivation and being able to spend more time at home doing family activities instead of homework are a direct impact because of you. You are changing lives, and your impact will stay with students throughout their academic careers.
To the parents of the “scholars” we tutor, thank you for entrusting us with your child’s support in their volunteering journey and for your support as well. Your child is actively involved in their community and changing lives one session at a time.
To our social-media team, who have been killing it recently, thank you for your creativity and consistency. Our online presence has grown significantly this past semester. More volunteers are discovering Oui Tutor every day as our Followers grow.
Of course, this year has not been without its challenges. A reduced number of available tutoring days due to external factors meant we had fewer sessions than we would have liked. Yet, in the face of those limitations, our team is adapting brilliantly. We are working on finding additional educational partners so we can continue to offer 70-80 tutoring sessions a week. That resilience is what sets Oui Tutor apart.
We also successfully navigated changing our 501 (c)3 tax status from a Private Foundation to a Public Charity, which opened us up to receive some matching grants. We successfully earned a $1200 grant from Microsoft, which will allow us to expand some of our programming.
As we head into the last half of our 2025-2026 school year, I am filled with excitement and gratitude. We have big plans ahead and are excited to try and gain more tutors in the process. With this team, I have no doubt we will not only meet but exceed every goal we set.
